Family Behind Clif Bars Releases 2nd Vintage of Value-Driven Climber Series
 Clif Family Winery, maker of high quality wines with a focus on sustainably farmed and organic grapes, has released the 2nd vintage of its wines. Made in Napa Valley by celebrated winemaker Sarah Gott, Clif Family Winery is owned and operated by Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, founders of Clif Bar & Company, a leading maker of all-natural and organic energy and nutrition foods and drink. While they moved to Napa Valley in 1998, Gary and Kit founded Clif Bar Family Winery in 2004 as their passion for family, food and adventure led them in the direction of wine.
The fruit for Clif Family Wines is sourced from some of the best vineyards in the Napa Valley and North Coast appellation. The collection of wines includes the 2008 Climber White Wine ($14), the 2006 Climber Red Wine ($17), both excellent values in a market otherwise flooded with mediocre wines at similar price points.
